At the Raid Evolénard FMV, victory is not limited to the top of the podium. Once again this year, the organisation has made sure to reward well beyond the top finishers, with a series of special prizes aimed at all types of riders: the fastest, the most technical, the most combative and even the luckiest. Because yes, during the prize ceremony, several awards will be handed out by draw among the participants — yet another reason to stay until the end of the celebrations. From first to last, everyone has their chance at the Raid Evolénard FMV.
Break the Record, Pocket the Prize
Performance-minded riders will have an extra incentive this year. A record bonus is up for grabs on both courses: 1,500.- for the man and 5,000.- for the woman who smash the record on the long 62 km course, and 800.- for the man and 200.- for the woman on the 35 km route. These amounts are no coincidence: since 2017, the bonus has increased every year by 500.- on the long course and 200.- on the short course (up to a maximum of 1,000.-), as long as the record remains unbroken. For those who feel they have the legs to make history, the reward is becoming increasingly tempting.
The Le Rucher Segment: the Technicians Strike Back
Climbers are not the only ones who get to have their say. A special segment called “Segment Le Rucher” runs from Chalet-Vieux to Gietty. This enduro-style section will put the spotlight on riders who are most at home on demanding singletrack requiring strong acceleration skills — a golden opportunity for the technical riders to shine.
Best Hérensard·e·s: Local Pride Rewarded
For the second consecutive year, the Raid Evolénard FMV pays tribute to local talent. A prize for the best male and female Hérensard will be awarded on both courses — 35 km and 62 km. A call to all riders from the Val d’Hérens: now is the time to fly the flag for your home region.
Largest Club: the Valdor Prize
Team spirit is also celebrated. The club with the highest number of registered riders at the time of the online registration deadline will receive a half raclette cheese, courtesy of partner Valdor. A great reward to share with teammates over a well-deserved meal after the race.
Most Combative Prize: Maison Gillard in the Spotlight
Finally, a very special award awaits the rider who crosses the finish line last within the time limit on the 62 km marathon course. Far from being a consolation prize, this Most Combative Award — offered by Maison Gillard — takes the form of a quality bottle of wine, as a tribute to all those who never give up until the very end.
